sailing around the world argument

Sailing around the world

I am not sure that sailing around the world with your family would be a good idea because there isn't a doctor on board and that means if you get sick there is nothing you can do plus you need to travel a long way to get a doctor.

On the other hand you get to go to other countries and learn about new things and even eat new things that you have never seen before!

However you have limited food and the bad thing about limited food is if you get lost you can run out of food and starve until you get to a island.

One good thing about it would be you get a chance to do lots of fishing and catch new fishes that you haven't seen before.

Nevertheless you will have too much mum and dad plus when theres only the same people you get bored easily and you would rather be with your friends right now.

Another point of view is there will be one long holiday and no school, the good thing about it is that you don't have too do homework and all other annoying things.

In conclusion I have told you good and bad things about sailing around the world now do you want to sail or stay home?

In the classroom we have been learning how to write a balanced argument and we were reading a book about a family traveling around the world on a boat so we though of making a balanced argument based on it.

Zhaoyu, You have used the appropriate success criteria for your first attempt at a Balanced Argument. You have alternated between positive and negative viewpoints, and used appropriate sentence starters to indicate a change of opinion. oOur next step will be to try to add more detail in to support the reasons you give. Good job.
